     All students begin without a belt and must meet strict guidelines to even wear a belt. They are officially tested once they have reached a very basic understanding of UPKUDO. If they pass their test, they are awarded a diploma, white belt up to 3rd degree and membership into the UPKUDO International Karate Federation with an official member number.
